A note from our owner: We are troubled with the recent explosion of "we-buy-gold" locations throughout Arizona. In the last two years, I have met far too many people who have been mislead or ripped-off by these organizations. A majority of these we-buy-gold locations are staffed by individuals with little to no experience in the jewelry industry; they operate in partnership with a nation-wide parent company which receives a majority of the profits. It is important to distinguish between the legitimate "we-buy-gold" stores and the impulse businesses designed to make a quick buck at your expense.
We have found that many of these companies offer anywhere from 15-35% of market value; they do not offer genuine assessments of the jewelry -- they operate off a superficial weighing of the gold in comparison to a spreadsheet provided to them by the parent company.
Because of the volume we purchase, we are able to offer upwards of 90-95% of spot-market value.
Legitimate purchasers of gold do not make a majority of their profits off any one purchase. Instead, they make just a little off each transaction while aiming to have a high volume of these purchases. We feel that such a model is mutually beneficial to both parties. As such, we are always honest in our assessments of the present spot-market value of the gold in relationship to what we will offer for it. Because of this, even if you do not sell your gold to us, we urge that you bring it in for a free walk-in evaluation to compare against other local buyers. We have found that a majority of clients return to us again and again.
